Competitive Gymnastics at Pinnacle Gymnastics Academy
At Pinnacle Gymnastics Academy, our competitive programs are designed for athletes who demonstrate dedication, work ethic, coachability, and a passion for learning. Our goal is to develop strong, confident athletes while maintaining a healthy balance between athletic achievement, personal growth, and long-term success.
We believe gymnastics should challenge athletes physically and mentally while helping them develop confidence, discipline, resilience, responsibility, and leadership skills that extend far beyond the gym.
Athletes may enter the competitive pathway through evaluation, coach recommendation, or invitation into one of our developmental programs.

Pre-Team Program
Invite Only
The bridge between recreational gymnastics and competitive gymnastics.
Athletes in Pre-Team focus on:
• Advanced skill development
• Strength and conditioning
• Flexibility training
• Event-specific progressions
• Competition readiness
• Goal setting and accountability
Pre-Team athletes are evaluated regularly and may be invited into either the Xcel Program or USA Gymnastics Development Program based on individual strengths, goals, and readiness.

Rising Stars Developmental

Rising Stars Developmental Program
Designed for young athletes showing strong natural ability, body awareness, and desire to advance quickly.

• Basic skill acquisition
• Body control and awareness
• Confidence and discipline
Athletes prepare for future opportunities within Xcel or USA Gymnastics Development Program pathways. Placement is by coach invitation only.
USAG Development (DP)
Level 2-10
Invite Only
The traditional pathway for advanced competitive gymnastics following USAG progressions.
Compulsory Levels (3-5):
Focus on strong fundamentals, consistency, and technique through standardized routines.
Optional Levels (6-10):
Personalized routines highlighting individual strengths while meeting level requirements.

Training Expectations
USA Gymnastics Development Program (DP) Competitive Team is designed for dedicated athletes who want to push their skills to the highest level in a supportive, disciplined environment. Our coaches focus on building strong, confident, and resilient gymnasts who are prepared to compete with excellence and integrity.
A typical season includes technical skill development, choreography sessions, and local and regional competitions where our athletes showcase their progress under pressure.
